Workshops

Workshop Facilitator / V&A South Kensington / 2024
  • As part of the Upstart Creative Careers Festival, I designed a workshop introducing young people to fashion production from a fresh, behind-the-scenes perspective; named ‘Fashion Production: A Cross Section of the Inner Workings of the Fashion World’. I created a mock client brief and guided participants in responding to it in a fun, creative, and informed way, using physical materials to build moodboards. The aim was to make the process both enjoyable and educational. I also provided takeaway resources and continue to mentor some of the attendees, believing in support that extends beyond the event itself.

Workshop Facilitator / Future Forecast / Tate Liverpool / 2023
  • I was invited to speak with young people from the Greenhouse Project in Toxteth, sharing my experience in the music and art industries to support their exhibition. The group created a 24-minute film imagining a future shaped by extreme weather reflecting the impact of climate change in years to come, transforming Liverpool and the wider world. I led a workshop encouraging them to reflect on their joyful memories of life in Toxteth and Liverpool, mapping these as a form of time capsule — preserving stories for future generations to understand what life was like 50 years earlier, in 2023.

Education

Guest Lecturer / British Film Institute, London / 2025
  • I served as a guest lecturer at the BFI as part of Sophia Loren: Hollywood Style, Neapolitan Spirit. For the 25 & Under strand, I introduced the programme with an exploration of Loren’s career and the socio-political landscape that informed her work. I also introduced Lucky to Be a Woman (1956), guiding the audience through its key themes and relevant cinematic theory.

Montez Press / Returning: A Human Nature Philosophy / 2025
  • Much contemporary discussion circles our crises without resolving them, dwelling on distant futures while neglecting what can be done today. In response, I have developed the Returning philosophy: a humane framework that addresses Western disparity and suffering by diagnosing social problems and advancing immediate, practicable solutions within our current systems. Education remains the central lever; we should recalibrate the ideas we teach towards a more human, life-shaping ethic. To that end, I will explore these questions across philosophy and theology, art and literature, scripture, film and television, alongside practical modes of learning. By drawing from multiple traditions and media, and pairing them with case studies and everyday scenarios, the aim is to translate insight into action, relatable, contextualised, and usable in daily life.

Montez Press / Mycorrhizal Network / 2024
  • A docu-style radio show that draws parallels between social justice movements and the symbiotic relationship between plants and fungi. By exploring the natural world’s examples of mutual support, interdependence, and sustainability, the show reflects on how these ecological structures can inspire more equitable and collaborative models for collective liberation. It weaves together science, storytelling, and activism to reimagine what successful, community-rooted systems can look like—both in nature and in society.

Montez Press / Songs of Praise / 2024
  • An audio essay exploring the domestic worker industry in Lebanon, created in collaboration with This Is Lebanon, a charity supporting migrant domestic workers. The piece features an interview with Chibogu Obinwa, Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist and UN University Fellow, offering global context on care work and labour inequality. Blending personal stories and expert insight, the essay highlights the urgent need for reform and transnational solidarity.
